Find the OEM procedure. Then cite it, line by line.
Almost every supplement argument ends the same way: whoever has the current automaker procedure in writing wins. This is the directory we work from — the official repair information portal and collision position statements for each manufacturer, straight from the source.
Cross-maker hubs
When you don't know which portal holds the answer, start with these. OEM1Stop indexes every manufacturer site; I-CAR RTS collects the position statements themselves.
OEM1Stop
OEM1Stop — all-maker service info directory
Automaker-maintained index of every OEM service information site, including subscription pricing.
I-CAR RTS
I-CAR Repairability Technical Support (RTS)
Searchable library of OEM collision repair position statements by automaker.
SCRS
Society of Collision Repair Specialists
Industry advocacy group publishing guidance and documentation resources on not-included operations.
NHTSA
NHTSA recall & complaint database (VIN lookup)
Check open recalls and TSBs by VIN before finalizing a repair plan. Some corporate networks block .gov lookups — open it from a phone if it stalls.
Repair information by manufacturer
Each link goes to the automaker's own service information site. Most require a short-term subscription — day passes are typically the cheapest way to pull a single procedure, and the cost is a documentable line on the repair.

How to document a procedure so it survives review
01
Start from the VIN, not the year/make/model
Build, trim, and options change the procedure. Pull the VIN-specific repair manual so the operation you cite matches the car in the stall.
02
Print the procedure with the date visible
OEM sites update quietly. A dated printout is what makes the position defensible weeks later when the adjuster pushes back.
03
Separate the procedure from the position statement
The repair manual says how. The position statement says the automaker requires it. Supplements land faster when you attach both.
04
Attach it to the line, not the file
Every not-included operation on the supplement should point to a specific page or paragraph. That's the whole argument.
Send us the VIN. We'll send back the procedure.
Procedure lookup is part of every Discovery Review and every supplement package we build — pulled current, dated, and attached to the specific line it supports. If you just need one document for a car in the stall, email the VIN and the operation in question.
Automakers revise procedures and position statements without notice. Always verify against the live OEM portal on the day of the repair — the links here point to the source of record, never to a cached copy.
